Specifically:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Be able to implement the hardest part of a system\/product<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Be able to ship high-quality work with best practices, like proper testing, well-planned rollout, and monitoring<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Be able to lead the effort of setting the direction for the team, like new season roadmapping<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Be able to spot the biggest pain point of the system\/product\/org and propose solutions. A solution with a clear deliverable and milestones and could take multiple years to implement.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Most importantly, in addition to demonstrate the capability of leverage XFN\u2019s colleagues(DS\/design\/PM\/etc..). Staff Engineer also should be able to assess &amp; validate their outputs.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the \u201cPeople Skill\u201d side, a staff engineer should:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Be a strong communicator, in both oral and written form<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Be able to leverage resources that are not assigned to the team<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Be able to recruit and onboarding new team member, both junior and senior<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Be able to influence org\u2019s engineering culture, like adopt latest\/best coding practice<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ref: <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.devgenius.io\/junior-vs-senior-vs-staff-engineer-eaecea01440c\">https:\/\/blog.devgenius.io\/junior-vs-senior-vs-staff-engineer-eaecea01440c<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Senior Engineer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the technical side, a senior engineer should:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Be able to design, breakdown, and complete a project of a large scope with high-level productivity<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Proactively find problems of existing system\/product without guidance and offer solutions<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Be able to lead a project with a small group of people, such as hosting weekly meetings, communicate with other partners in written forms<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the \u201cPeople Skill\u201d side,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Make contributions to improve the engineering team. For example, activities like interviewing, or mentoring<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Be able to give on-point and actionable feedback to peers<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Be able to build X-teams and XFN relationships which will facilitate ongoing projects<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Junior Engineer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the technical side, this level\u2019s engineer should be able to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Understand codebase and drive assigned request to improve it, such as migrating it to modern frameworks and adding missing tests<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Design well-organized code<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Independently complete medium to large features<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the \u201cPeople Skill\u201d side, there are not many requirements. The most important thing to demonstrate the capability of accomplishing tasks with other disciplines(design, PM, analyst).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u4e0d\u540c\u90e8\u9580\u5b9a\u7fa9:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Frontend engineers<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>\u5b9a\u7fa9:<br>\u8ca0\u8cac\u7db2\u9801\u8207\u4f7f\u7528\u8005\u4e92\u52d5\uff0c\u958b\u767c\u8a2d\u8a08\u4f7f\u7528\u8005\u4ecb\u9762\u3001\u4ee5\u53ca\u7de8\u6392\u7db2\u9801\u529f\u80fd\u7684\u6d41\u7a0b\u3001\u8cc7\u8a0a\u7684\u5448\u73fe\u4ee5\u589e\u9032\u4f7f\u7528\u8005\u9ad4\u9a57\u3002<br>Ref:
